Article about SFLA preserving BI’s Agricultural History

The Bainbridge Review published an article on December 18 titled “How BI, Vashon are handling ag history”, which focused on the efforts of Suyematsu Farm Legacy Alliance to save and preserve Suyematsu Farm. The article began with “Farmland is precious on an island. So how do you honor history while making use of such a resource?” Reporter Molly Hetherwick used a recent Bainbridge Island Senior Community Center Zoom cast interview with SFLA Board members Carol Reitz, Brian Shibayama and Jon Garfunkel to highlight SFLA’s restoration and preservation work, along with the work to preserve the Matsuda and Mukai Farms on Vashon Island.
